Cord Civil can provide a complete range of civil contracting services in the Canberra and ACT region - with extensive experience in:

Our civil contracting experience covers numerous projects in residential, rural and urban areas. These projects have required Cord to provide a wide range of civil works including Roadworks, Car park Construction, Storm water and Water main Augmentation, On-road Cycling, Bulk & Detail Earthworks and the construction of a 1km, 8 meter deep Trunk Sewer Main along the shores of Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra.

Cord has also achieved ACT Government Prequalification to CC10 & CL10 (Civil Construction to $10M & Civil Landscaping to $10M) which allows us to tender for ACT Government contracts. As part of this process we are also regularly audited by ACT Government accredited assessors in order to maintain our status.

Temporary Traffic Management

The Cord team has extensive experience in Temporary Traffic Management as demonstrated by the 2005 MBA Award Winning “Woden to Dickson On-Road Cycling Stages 2A and 2C” project located on Northbourne Avenue which had, on average, 45,215 vehicles passing through each intersection everyday.

Plant Hire

Cord can also provide wet plant hire for a variety of clients and requirements - ranging from small private jobs such as site cuts and spoil removal to bored piers, bulk and detail excavation on subdivision’s and building sites.

Subcontractors

Specialised works such as asphalt pavement, construction of hydraulic structures, kerbing, street lighting, linemarking and installation of traffic control devices are undertaken by reputable subcontractors and managed according to Cord’s Quality Management System to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable legislation.

If a project has a major earthworks component we have previously used the services of Charman Earthmoving - as they have large dozers and scrapers which complement our own equipment.
